Where does the name American Appliance come from?
American Appliance’s mission, embodied in its name, represents pride in American citizenship incorporated with the “Land of the Free” mentality in everything that we do. Based upon its roots with humbling beginnings, we learned that Faith, hard work, integrity and excellent customer service are the success trifecta. One interaction with us and it’s clear that ours is a company unlike any other. At American Appliance you’ll find products at great prices, stellar customer service and heart in every product that we sell.
What does “quantity” mean?
On every product page you’ll see “Quantity” listed under the price and item number. This refers to how many units we currently have in stock of this item. While we always do our best to ensure 100% accuracy of the quantity, this may vary, especially during peak times and holidays.

How do you calculate your shipping charges?
We’re dedicated to offering you free shipping if the item delivered is in MA, CT and RI up to 50 miles. Additional charges apply, per mile, to ZIP codes outside of this area. Traditionally, our long distance rates are $1 per mile from Cranston, RI 02910.
Do you charge sales tax?
American Appliance is required by law to collect sales tax. Please know, your order(s) will be taxed unless valid tax exemption documentation has been received prior to order placement. Please contact us at 1 (877) 381-5551 and press 2 for additional questions or support.
What if I received damaged or incorrect merchandise?
In the event that you receive defective, incorrect or incomplete merchandise, please contact us right away so we can make it right. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order information, contact information and photos documenting possible damages (if applicable). Please retain all items and packaging materials until your claim is resolved. If your replacement item is backordered or out of stock, we’ll notify you as soon as we have the estimated arrival date, or we may work with you to suggest a suitable replacement.
How do I change or cancel my order after I’ve placed it?
Due to our fast processing and fulfillment times, we’re unable to change an order once it’s been placed. All sales are final, with no monetary refunds. Our policy is that you will receive a store credit. If you need to cancel your order, please contact us right away at 1 (877) 381-5551 and press 2. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate your request.
Do you deliver to Canada?
No. Currently at this time, we do not offer any delivery service outside of the US.
Can I pick up my order from American Appliance directly?
No. At this time we do not offer any local pickup. We are mainly eBased and provide fulfillment services, which means our primary places to conduct business are through phone orders and social media advertising and we deliver the product to you in a delivery vehicle. Our fulfillment facility in Cranston, RI is not open to the general public. American Appliance may elect, at our discretion, to meet you in a public location, such as a bank or a police station with your order if you do not wish to have it delivered or installed at your home or place of business.
Is your website secure?
This site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All orders are transmitted over secure Internet connections using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology. All of your personal information, including your credit card information and sign-in password, is stored in encrypted format at all times. This website, and more important, all user information, is further protected by a multilayer firewall-based security system.
